The Artist's Studio

The Artist's Studio is the culmination of a lifetime of the study and practice of art.  Thomas Rosenbaum is a practicing clinical psychologist who creates art as an avocation and now wants to find a vehicle to create and share his work with others.  The Studio is a recent addition to his busy life and offers a place to create and to market his work.  Original paintings done in oil and acrylic as well as mixed media works are offered.  Less expensive print alternatives to the various images are available and can be custom created to fit the order.  Post cards, greeting cards and miniature works both original and print are also available.  

The goal is to share my creative experience with others.  I produce the work in a one room studio that faces a tributary of the Huron River in Dexter, Michigan, just northeast of Ann Arbor.  The town is a small Midwestern hamlet that offers supportive environment for artists.  The larger Ann Arbor community is known for its involvement in the arts and resources in that community are also of great benefit including The Arts Alliance of the local chamber of commerce.  

I majored in Art for two years at West Virginia University, but then transferred to Psychology, minoring in art.  It was a time of great turmoil in the country in the mid 1960s, not unlike today's uneasiness and youthful insecurity led to the career goal change.  I now practice clinical psychology and hang many pieces of art in my offices.  Others have encouraged me to sell my work and this is the response.  

I hope you enjoy the website and find some work you can enjoy for many years to come.  I am available for commission work and work in many styles and mediums. I prefer working acrylic for its ease, flexibility, and safety.

I will offer a limited number of works with a theme and will be adding to these as time goes by.  I have a large inventory of work and create new work daily.  Some of this work can be viewed by going to my gallery.
